Sato Beethoven Sonata Series in Berkshire Eagle

Christopher Lewis and Yoshiko Sato were featured in the Berkshire Eagle for their Beethoven Sonata Concert Series, which presents its third and fourth installments this fall. The third concert took place at 4:00 pm on Saturday, August 27 at Park McCullough House. The fourth concert will take place on November 2, in the Deane Carriage Barn at 8:00 pm as part of the Carriage Barn Concert Series. These events are free and open to the public. The two aim to perform the complete sonata series over the course of the few next years.

Lady Day Janis Janis' "Lady Day" Receives Glowing Review

Lady Day, the newest production from the Dorset Theatre Festival, directed by Dina Janis and with lighting design by Michael Giannitti, recently received an enthusiastic review in The Berkshire Bright Focus. The review praised both Janis and Giannitti's work, calling the show "as perfect a production, as keen a realization as any I've seen and will ever see." 

Coburn in NYT Coburn Quoted in NYT

Noah Coburn’s work in anthropology was featured in an article about the danger that a damaged economy can present to small villages in Afghanistan, a danger that can rival even that of war. The author of the article quoted passages from Coburn’s 2011 ethnography, Bazaar Politics: Power and Pottery in an Afghan Market Town

Susie Ibarra 'Social Change Through Food'

Faculty member Susie Ibarra was featured on Vermont Public Radio about her role in a project that uses food waste generated during the Olympic Games in Rio to feed those in need. 

Kite and the String Image Walker MFAW '03 Interviews Mattison

Alice Mattison, award-winning author and core faculty of the MFA Program, was interviewed by Sarai Walker MFA '03 in The Center for Fiction on "looking like a writer," and her new non-fiction guide for authors, The Kite and the String.
