Bill Clinton Singles Out Bennington at Kick-Off Event of Clinton Global Initiative UniversityFormer President William J. Clinton invited Bennington’s President Elizabeth Coleman to join him at a press conference on Saturday, March 15, 2008, to inaugurate the Clinton Global Initiative University (CGI U)—a new venture of the Clinton Global Initiative that challenges college students and universities to tackle global problems with practical, innovative solutions. Clinton highlighted just two commitments in his press announcement: Bennington College’s and a commitment made by a Yale undergraduate student.
Cohen Named Fellow of the American Psychological AssociationThis fall, the American Psychological Association recognized psychology faculty member Ron Cohen for his “outstanding and unusual contributions to the science and profession of psychology” by naming him a fellow. This honor is bestowed on those whose work has made “a national impact on the field of psychology".
