Welcome to Bennington and the First-Year Forum!
On behalf of the First-Year Forum, we will soon mail you your summer reading: Curtis Chin's memoir, Everything I Learned, I Learned in a Chinese Restaurant. Curtis is an Asian American writer, social activist, and documentary filmmaker. Here is a recent CBS interview about him and the book. The author will speak at Bennington on November 7, 2024.
You can register here to join Bennington faculty members who will host a dynamic Zoom roundtable on July 24, titled “The Personal in History: Bennington Faculty Tell Stories on Life and Learning.” This event will not only delve into your summer reading of Curtis Chin's memoir but also provide a platform for you to share your thoughts and experiences.
This event will be recorded and emailed out, so you'll be able to access it even if you are unable to participate on July 24.
