Oceana Wilson, Director of Library and Information Services, was interviewed on Vermont Public Radio this week after winning the American Library Association's "I Love My Librarian Award," a national prize sponsored by the Carnegie Corporation of New York and The New York Times. Wilson, one of 10 winners chosen from more than 3,200 nominations, received $5,000 and was honored at a ceremony last month in New York.

The entire Bennington community mourns the loss of Kenneth Noland, an internationally celebrated abstract painter and former College trustee, who died on Tuesday, January 5, at 85 years old.

For their design of Bennington College's biomass heating facility, which heats 85 percent of the campus using renewable wood chips, Centerline Architects and Planners have earned an Excellence in Architecture Award from The American Institute of Architects/Vermont Chapter.

The New England Board of Higher Education (NEBHE) has honored Bennington's Quantum Leap program with the Vermont State Merit Award—one of six state merit awards given annually as part of the New England Higher Education Excellence Awards.
