The Yard, an artists' colony for choreographers on Martha's Vineyard, kicks off its 2009 season on June 26th with a weekend event dedicated to Yard founder and Bennington alumna Patricia N. Nanon '44.
Bennington student Noryang Yeshi '11 will celebrate the opening of Anandwan, an exhibition of photographs taken at a leprosy clinic in central India, on Monday, April 27, from 6-10 pm in the College's Barn East Gallery. This event is free and open to the public.
Jonathan Mann '04, who has been posting a new song every day on his website, was featured inTime Magazine and The Huffington Post, and appeared on MSNBC recently after his song about Nobel-prize winning economist Paul Krugman was viewed hundreds of thousands of times on YouTube.
Bestselling author and Bennington alumna Kathleen Norris '69 will speak and read from selected works on Thursday, March 26, at 7:30 p.m. in the College's Deane Carriage Barn. The event—this year's Candace DeVries Olesen '50 Lectureship for Distinguished Alumni—is free and open to the public.
