Torrey Pines: Film Screening With Live Soundtrack
There will be a screening of Torrey Pines, an autobiographical animated tale that was an official selection from the Seattle Queer Film Festival, at 8 PM in the Student Center.

OPEN TO THE PUBLIC | Rae Armantrout is the author of several collections of poetry. She received her MA at San Francisco State. She is director of the New Writing Series at UCSD. Monica Youn is the author of Barter (2003) and Ignatz (2010), a finalist for the National Book Award. She teaches poetry at Princeton.

Please join us for an open discussion on the current state and elected direction of American democracy the day after the Big Event. An invited panel – including Ella Ben Hagai, David Bond, Francesca Edwards, Carolina Roque, Lauren Roshan, Mariko Silver, Allen Shawn, and Maboula Soumahoro – will begin the event with a few short remarks before we open it up to a general conversation.

Conceptions of Masculinity Discussion
OPEN TO THE PUBLIC | These discussions are aimed at understanding masculinity from a male-identified perspective. In addition to exploring the connections between masculinity and themes of violence and power, this will also be a space for introspection on how concepts and expectations of 'manliness' and 'masculinity' shape our relationships, aspirations, fears, achievements, and identity. As the term progresses, we will discuss shared readings and host film screenings on these topics.
Brooder Tree Removal
To minimize impact on use of the parking lot, this work will take place on Saturday morning, November 12. Construction on the site will be begin shortly thereafter and continue through the winter months.
