Biography

Saporito creates work that explores the intersection between object and image, aiming to construct the materiality of memory through the mode of lens based sculpture. She is invested in presenting and processing found photos, slides, and frames through sculptures made by found objects, lenses and furniture to create interactive viewing devices. 

Saporito’s work has been exhibited nationally and internationally at The International Center of Photography, Pamela Salisbury Gallery, Cynthia Reeves Gallery at Mass MoCA, Kunsthaus Kule Gallery, Tête Gallery, The Bennington Museum, and Usdan Gallery. 

Prior to joining Bennington in Fall of 2023 as a Technical Instructor in Sculpture, Saporito was based in New York City, working for the gallery 56 Henry as the registrar and assisting represented artists in fabrication.
