Black Music Symposium

OPEN TO THE PUBLIC | Celebrating the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Black Music Division in academic year 1974-75, and its transformative impact on the field of music, education, improvisation, and culture. Organized by music faculty Michael Wimberly with support from Alumni Relations, this two-day symposium will include exciting live performances, lectures, panels, and workshops. Alumni may sign up to attend in person or for live-stream viewing, as well as to share their own remembrances.
