David Bond Joins New Coalition for Climate Change
Faculty member and cultural anthropologist David Bond has been invited to join a new international coalition of social scientists studying climate change.
The Climate Social Science Network (CSSN) is an international network of scholars headquartered at the Institute at Brown for Environment and Society, launched in October 2020. Scholars in the network are leading social scientists producing peer-reviewed research focused on understanding political conflict over climate change. The coalition has been instrumental in documenting corporate investments in uncertainty around climate science and delay in policy responses to it.
David Bond is the associate director of CAPA and teaches on the environment. His book, Negative Ecologies: Fossil Fuels and the Discovery of the Environment, will be published in July.
