Bennington Writing Seminars faculty member Jill McCorkle has been selected for a place in the North Carolina Literary Hall of Fame.

After taking over from George Plimpton, Brigid Hughes was pushed out as editor of The Paris Review and omitted from the magazine’s history. When news broke that Loren Stein, the editor at The Paris Review, had resigned after abusing his power with women writers and staff, Allison Devers MFA '08 set about fixing the magazine's masthead and the record.

Book Riot reported on the "101 books coming out in 2019 that you should mark down." The list included books by authors Jaime Quatro MFA '09 and Morgan Jerkins MFA '16.

Wonder Valley by Ivy Pochada MFA '11 and I'm the One That Got Away by Andrea Jarrell MFA '01 made LitHub's list of the most recommended books of fall 2017.

Shawna Kay Rodenberg MFA '12 has been awarded a $30,000 grant by The Rona Jaffe Foundation, one of the most prestigious literary awards in the country.
