Bennington Review in the Rumpus

The Rumpus published a piece on The Bennington Review in their "This Week in Short Fiction" section. The article had only good things to say about the newly revived magazine, and especially praised their choice to include "The Pariah and I" by Porochista Khakpoor, as well as  the journal's inclusive mission statement. 

The article applauded The Bennington Review for its successful return to publication. "When The Bennington Review re-launched this past April after thirty years, its first issue packed a table of contents studded with prize-winning authors and exciting emerging voices. This week, to our good fortune, the biannual print publication has made several of its pieces available online..."

The review emphasized and expressed admiration for The Bennington Review's policy of and focus on inclusivity. "The journal’s mission statement declares a dedication to publishing under-represented groups, and the first issue pans out at 30% writers of color and 60% women, making The Bennington Review an exciting new literary outlet to watch."
