Catherine Morrison Golden '55 P'80 Undergraduate Writing Fellowships
The Catherine Morrison Golden '55 P'80 Undergraduate Writing Fellowship allows a select group of undergraduate writers working in poetry, fiction, and literary nonfiction the opportunity to further their study of craft with a 10-day residency at Bennington’s MFA in Writing program.
We’re delighted to announce the recipients of the Catherine Morrison Golden '55 P'80 Undergraduate Writing Fellowships for 2024. We will be awarding three fellowships in total: one each in fiction, nonfiction, and poetry. We are also announcing the alternates in each genre, who will take part in the June MFA in Writing residency on campus if the fellowship recipient cannot attend.
The Fellowship recipients are:
- Maya Razvi '24 for fiction
- Iris Robert '24 for poetry
- Nora Gonyeau '24 for creative nonfiction
The alternates are:
- Bella-Grace Huettner '25 for fiction
- Taha Ahmar Qadeer '25 for poetry
- Leo O’Neil Cipkowski '25 for nonfiction
The Catherine Morrison Golden '55 P'80 Undergraduate Writing Fellowship program allows a select group of undergraduate writers working in poetry, fiction, or literary nonfiction the opportunity to further their study of craft with a 10-day on-campus residency at Bennington’s MFA in Writing program. The Undergraduate Writing Fellows will receive a one-on-one manuscript consultation with a member of the MFA program’s distinguished faculty, and will take part in the full program of readings, lectures, craft sessions, and classes the residency offers to MFA candidates.
