Tambu Kudze '10 MD, MHS grew up in Gokwe, Zimbabwe. After graduation, she worked at Massachusetts General Hospital as a research technician in a neurobiology lab. While attending medical school at Yale University, she developed a passion for women's health and pediatrics. She also completed the competitive year long Howard Hughes research fellowship as well as the Downs Fellowship in Global Health. 

Kudze then went on to complete her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Women and Infants Hospital of Rhode Island (Brown University) followed by a fellowship in Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology at Boston Children’s Hospital (Harvard Medical School). She is now an Assistant Professor in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Washington, where she cares for patients at Seattle Children’s Hospital and Harborview Medical Center.

Since beginning her research career as a freshman at Bennington, she has presented at national conferences and published research papers on various topics pertaining to women's health.
