Biography

Len is a genre-fluid artist whose recent work has centered on embedded collaborations with environmentally abused landscapes, multi-species communities, and municipal agencies. The cross-disciplinary nature of Len’s work has included printmaking with polluted waterways, opening a Trash Museum on an operating landfill in Kyrgyzstan, creating a pirate radio station in a desert town in New Mexico, and hosting guerrilla performances and coastal clean-ups at Superfund sites internationally. He was most recently an Artist in Residence at the NY Department of Sanitation, Queens Botanical Garden, and the AlexRenew Wastewater Treatment Facility in Virginia. He is a grant recipient of the NYFA Fellowship for Interdisciplinary Work, The Map Fund, NY City Artist Corps Grant, and the Connecticut Sea Grant, among others. Len is based in Queens, NY with familial roots in Vietnam and Virginia, and his work often incorporates these bonds by connecting issues of their history, environment, traditions and politics.

Len is a visiting faculty member at Bennington for Spring 2025.
