Bennington College Institutional Advancement Welcomes Allison Gomes as Vice President
Bennington College is delighted to announce Allison Gomes has stepped into the role of Vice President for Institutional Advancement. Gomes joined Bennington as Associate Vice President for Development in June 2023 and served as Interim Vice President for Institutional Advancement for a time before taking the role. Gomes is a member of the President’s Cabinet and reports to President Laura Walker.
“Allison has the skills, experience, and leadership ability to lead Bennington’s fundraising team and meet the ambitious goals for the future,” said Walker. “She has a proven track record of success and an optimistic and strategic approach. I am thrilled to have her leading Institutional Advancement.”
Before joining Bennington College, Gomes worked as the Director of Major Gifts at Baystate Health Foundation and for 11 years in roles of increasing responsibility within Institutional Advancement at Smith College. Gomes graduated with a bachelor’s degree from New York University. She also holds a master’s degree in business administration from the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
