Contact:
OPEN TO THE PUBLIC | Tatyana Tenenbaum is a multidisciplinary artist based in Brooklyn, NY. Her work employs breath, voice, fascia, and musculature to excavate spaces of memory, power and transformation. She has been presented by The Chocolate Factory Theater, Danspace Project, ISSUE Project Room, Movement Research and New Jewish Culture Fellowship, among others. Tatyana has learned to move, listen, and collaborate by working with artists such as Yoshiko Chuma, Jennifer Monson, Daria Faïn, Emily Johnson/CATALYST, Hadar Ahuvia, and countless brilliant peers. In addition to developing Garment of the Interior at Bennington College this fall, she will be releasing a debut feature documentary dance film Everything You Have Is Yours exploring the intersections of New York-based Jewish, Israeli and Palestinian dancers.
Garment of the Interior is a relational practice based in voice/body with electronic manipulation and textile interventions. The work-in-process builds on over a decade of research by Tatyana Tenenbaum in collaboration with Marisa Clementi, Molly Lieber, Myssi Robinson and Leah Wilks.
