The course meets 7:00–8:30 pm every Thursday, September 5 through October 17, 2024.
Session 4: Higher Education, Civil Discourse, and Our Democracy
For this fourth session, “Higher Education, Civil Discourse, and Our Democracy,” we meet with Suresh Garimella, President of the University of Vermont, and explore the vital role of higher education in promoting civil discourse and democracy. Topics include current initiatives shaping the next generation of democratic leaders and the enduring ideals and realities of dialogue in academia.
