He holds a Doctor of Education from Webster University in St. Louis, where he previously directed the university's centralized Career Planning and Development Center. Dr. Link holds certifications as a professional resume writer, digital career strategist, and interview coach. In August 2023, he joined Bennington College as the Associate Dean of Career Development and Field Work Term. In this capacity, he offers strategic guidance and oversight for various facets of career development, including managing the college's annual Field Work Term experience program, cultivating employer partnerships, and overseeing student employment initiatives.

His influence extends beyond the academic realm, as he has been featured in regional and national broadcasts, including St. Louis Public Radio and National Public Radio (NPR). Dr. Link is a distinguished panelist in prominent career development forums such as the Career Leadership Collective, the Midwest Association of Colleges and Employers, and the Gateway Career Services Association. His involvement includes serving as the Director of Advancement and Communications for the Midwest Association of Colleges and Employers, contributing to the Career Services Leadership of the Future Task Force for the National Association of Colleges and Employers, and holding the position of President for the Gateway Career Services Association. Dr. Link has also volunteered his expertise as a board member for the Miss Indiana State University Scholarship Program until 2023.
