OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AND AVAILABLE TO STREAM | Michael Dumanis and Stuart Nadler will read as part of the Writers Reading series.

Michael is the author of Creature (Four Way Books, September 2023), and a previous collection, My Soviet Union, winner of the Juniper Prize for Poetry. He co-edited the anthology Legitimate Dangers: American Poets of the New Century (Sarabande). His recent poems appear in The Believer, The Common, The Hopkins Review, POETRY, and Waxwing. Born in the former Soviet Union, he lives in Vermont, teaches at Bennington College, and serves as editor of Bennington Review.

Stuart is the author of three novels and a short story collection. His first novel, Wise Men, was named a Barnes and Noble Discover Great New Writers selection, a Best Book of the Year by Amazon, and has been translated across Europe. His story collection, The Book of Life, was a finalist for the Sami Rohr Prize for Jewish Literature, and long-listed for the Frank O’Connor International Story Prize. His most recent novel, The Inseparables, was published in July 2016, and was named a Best Book of the Year by Kirkus, and a finalist for a Mark Twain Prize for the American Voice. In 2012, he was a recipient of the 5 Under 35 Award from the National Book Foundation. His new novel, The Scatter Chord, will be published in early spring 2025.
