COVID update 12/21/2020
The following message was sent to our community. For the most up to date information, please check the COVID webpage.
To: Students, Staff, Faculty, and Families
From Oceana Wilson, Acting Dean of the College
I wanted to let you know that we have received a report of a new positive case within our community. This was an employee who was most recently on campus on Wednesday, 12/16.
The College is working closely with the employee and the Vermont Department of Health. At this time and based on our knowledge of the case, we believe that the exposure risk to our campus community is very low, if there is any risk at all. This case is not related to the case we notified the campus community about on December 11. As a reminder, if you are not contacted by the Vermont Department of Health, you are not considered a close contact.
Most importantly, the employee reports feeling well, has no symptoms, and is currently quarantining at home. We are all wishing this person well.
As always, please check the COVID webpage for the most up-to-date information.
Thank you to everyone for wearing masks, washing hands, and observing social distancing. These actions reduce the risk for all of us. We wish you all a safe and happy holiday season.
