OPEN TO THE PUBLIC | 7:00-8:30 PM | Each term, Bennington offers a program of lectures by visiting arts professionals: artists, curators, historians and critics, selected to showcase the diversity of contemporary art practices. Throughout 2017/2018, VALS and related teaching and programming will address a capacious theme: Ways of Seeing: Movements, Migrations, Diasporas offers a discursive point of departure for those whose work in the visual arts is deeply invested in questions of representation, race, and gender as well as political–and often, cross-cultural and historical–movements and migrations, forced and otherwise. Events are free and open to the public. Unless otherwise noted, lectures are held in Tishman Lecture Hall on Tuesday evenings, 7:00-8:30 PM. Please see below for specific dates.
