Whyte '05 Named Finalist for Hudgens Prize
Artist Cosmo Whyte '05 has been named a finalist for the Hudgens Prize, a $50,000 award for Georgia artists.
The Hudgens Prize is a competition "intended to elevate the arts in [the] state and to offer a transformational opportunity to a Georgia artist. A $50,000 cash award and an invitation for a solo exhibition will be given to one selected Georgia artist."
Whyte, one of four finalists, has won several awards for his sculptures, and currently teaches at Morehouse College. He works in the mediums of photography, drawing, performance, and sculpture.
The winner of the Hudgens Prize will be announced on September 30, 2017.
