PEN Nominations
Earlier this week, Mashable announced their long lists for several categories of the 2017 PEN Literary awards, which include a number of Bennington graduates.
The awards honor "the best and brightest" works in their respective categories. Wreck and Order, by Hannah Tennant-Moore MFAW '10 was nominated for the PEN/ Robert W. Bingham Prize for Debut Fiction. Safiya Sinclair '10 made the long list for the PEN/Open Book Award for her debut collection of poetry, Cannibal. Shirley Jackson, A Rather Haunted Life, by Ruth Franklin, which delves into Jackson's time living in Bennington, was also included in the PEN/Jacqueline Bograd Weld Award for Biography category.
Finalists and winners will announced in Spring 2017.
