Abstract: My work has been navigating the linguistic barriers and opportunities afforded to the communication, remembering, and experience of selfhood by expressing in multiple languages. In this iteration, I am working with storytelling as a form of rediscovering and recreating memories, looking at how that effects the experience of being a self, and asking in what ways moving between languages (French and English) alters memory and experience in altering its mode of expression. It's a bilingual pair of memoirs about growing up, caring about people, and loss.
