Of Mice and Men, Feat. Joel Marsh Garland ’97, Opens on Broadway
The much-anticipated Broadway revival of John Steinbeck’s Of Mice and Men opened with a high-powered cast that includes James Franco, Chris O’Dowd, Leighton Meester, and alumnus Joel Marsh Garland ’97.
Garland plays the role of Carlson, a loathsome ranch-hand whose gun is eventually used by George (Franco) to shoot Lennie (O’Dowd).
The play opened April 16 at Longacre Theatre in New York.

Garland is also in the cast of the hit Netflix series Orange is the New Black, where he plays Scott O’Neill, a corrections officer. The show’s second season is set to premier on June 6, 2014.
