Brad Jacobs '77
Brad Jacobs has founded five companies and led each of them to become a billion dollar or multi-billion dollar enterprise. These include three publicly traded corporations: United Waste Systems, Inc., United Rentals, Inc. and XPO Logistics, Inc. (NYSE: XPO). Jacobs is the chairman and CEO of XPO Logistics, a Fortune 500 company and top 10 global provider of transportation and logistics solutions, with $15 billion of revenue.
Over the course of his career, Jacobs has led teams that completed approximately 250 cold-starts and 500 acquisitions, including the purchase and integration of multi-billion dollar public companies in North America and Europe. He’s raised more than $10 billion of debt and equity capital, including two IPOs.
Jacobs is listed among the Best CEOs of the 2016 All-America Executive Team, was named American Shipper’s 2015 Person of the Year, and is an inductee of the American Rental Association Hall of Fame.
