"Snowstorm," a short story by Bruna Dantas Lobato '15, has been published in the The New Yorker.
The story, about an international student living on a college campus in Vermont, is partly based on her time at Bennington.
Bruna Dantas Lobato '15 is a Brazilian writer and literary translator based in St. Louis. Her fiction writing has appeared in The New Yorker, A Public Space, The Common, and elsewhere, and has been recognized with fellowships from Yaddo, A Public Space, NYU, and Disquiet International. Her translations include Moldy Strawberries by Caio Fernando Abreu, The Words that Remain by Stênio Gardel (New Vessel Press), and Tokyo Suite by Giovana Madalosso (Europa Editions). Shorter translations from the Portuguese appear in Bookforum, Vogue, BOMB, and The Kenyon Review, among others.
