Quatro's Debut Collection Draws Critical Acclaim
The stories that comprise MFA alumna Jamie Quatro '09's recently released debut collection, I Want to Show You More, according to noted literary critic James Wood in his New Yorker review, "are passionate, sensuous, savagely intense, and remarkable for their brave dualism."
Added the March 21 New York Times Sunday Book Review, "[The collection] draws from a small pool of particular and unexpectedly resonant themes—Christianity, marital infidelity, cancer, running—and examines and recombines them with impressive agility and inventiveness. It is a strange, thrilling and disarmingly honest piece of work."
Quatro's stories have appeared or are forthcoming in The PEN/O.Henry Prize Stories, Ploughshares, The Kenyon Review, Tin House, Oxford American,McSweeney’s, The Southern Review, and elsewhere.
