The NAIS Conference is an annual, three-day event, attended by more than 4,000 guidance counselors, heads of schools, and other independent high school leaders. Other speakers will include author and education reformer, Geoffrey Canada; educational futurist and staff writer for Fast Company magazine, Anya Kamenetz; founder of Khan Academy, Salman Kahn; writer and consultant for the Aspen Institute, Dan Heath; and inaugural S.T. Lee Professor of Business at the Columbia Business School, Sheena S. Iyengar.
President Coleman was appointed to the NAIS Board of Trustees in early February 2011. She is the only college president currently on the Board.
The NAIS Conference is the latest of many recent events at which President Coleman has been invited to speak, including the Hathaway Brown School's Education Innovation Summit, the Gov 2.0 Summit, the Royal College of Defence Studies, and the 2009 TED Conference.
