Pousette-Dart '68 Wins 2017 Arts & Letters Award
Joanna Pousette-Dart ’68, another of Bennington’s celebrated abstract painters, is one of nine artists to receive a 2017 Art Award from the American Academy of Arts & Letters.
Works by the winners were on display in the Invitational Exhibition of Visual Arts, and were shown in the Exhibition of Work by Newly Elected Members and Recipients of Honors and Awards, which followed the Ceremonial in May.
Pousette-Dart is also included in a four-artist exhibition featuring the work of former longtime faculty member and renowned abstract artist, Paul Feeley. The exhibition, Aspects of Abstraction, is on view at Lisson Gallery in New York through August 11.
