Pirler Awarded NYSCA/NYFA Artist Fellowship
Sound recording and electronic music faculty member Senem Pirler has been awarded a 2022 NYSCA/NYFA Artist Fellowship in Music/Sound.
The New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA) has administered the Artist Fellowship program with leadership support from the New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA). This fellowship is available to artists living in New York State and/or one of the Indian Nations located therein, and is awarded awarded in fifteen different disciplines over a three-year period (five categories a year). The NYSCA/NYFA Artist Fellowship is not a project grant, but is intended to fund an artist’s vision or voice, at all levels of their artistic development.
"I am so thankful for the peer recognition and to be part of a program that has supported artists of all disciplines across New York State for 37 years," said Pirler. "I am grateful to have this support! Thank you to NYSCA and NYFA!"
