Hultgren, Post-Election
On November 17, 2016, CounterPunch published a piece by faculty member John Hultgren on "The Working Class, Reconsidered."

The article is a response to the popular post-election theory that "Trump won the election by riding a wave of white working class resentment." Hultgren urges that we more closely examine the term "working class" and the role that it played in the vote.
He writes: "We can debate how to best define the working class all we want, but there’s a deeper political dimension that analyses of this election are missing."
