Dinklage Sets Emmy Award Record
On September 22, Peter Dinklage ’91 made Emmy Award history for his fourth Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama win.
Dinklage, who portrayed Tyrion Lannister on Game of Thrones, earned a nomination in each of the show's eight seasons. He previously won Outstanding Supporting Actor in 2011, 2015, and 2018. Dinklage is the only actor to have won Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series four times.
Dinklage's work on Game of Thrones also earned him a Golden Globe Award in 2012.
For his role as Norman Newlander in The Kominsky Method, fellow Bennington alum Alan Arkin '55 was also nominated for a 2019 Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series.
