Davis Anderson '84 Named Director of Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts
The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts (PAFA) has named Brooke Davis Anderson '84 as the museum's new director.
Anderson, who has more than 25 years of arts and cultural experience and most recently served as executive director of Prospect New Orleans—an international triennial of contemporary art founded by Bennington alum Dan Cameron '79—will begin her new role June 5.
Anderson will provide creative and administrative leadership in the conception, development, and implementation of the museum's artistic and public programs, including exhibitions, scholarship, community education, and collecting American art, according to the Academy. She will also represent PAFA's interests to the public, embrace leadership roles in the arts and cultural community in Philadelphia and beyond, and work closely with the development team to secure resources to advance PAFA's mission.
