Special Dance Workshop with Souleymane Badolo

Souleymane Badolo is a choreographer, educator, and performer of traditional and contemporary dance, and he is the Keeper of his family’s traditional Gurunsi ways. By fusing his traditional and contemporary practices, he has created an innovative art-making technique he calls African Science Calculations.

Dividing his time between Brooklyn and Ouagadougou, he is in the process of establishing a new educational, research and performance retreat center in the village of KYA, Burkina Faso, engaging the old and young alike to ensure it becomes an integrated center of creative living and learning.
