OPEN TO THE PUBLIC | Amy Goodman will speak about increased threats to freedom of the press and the importance of truly independent media to hold those in power accountable. In more than 20 years of reporting, Democracy Now! has covered the social movements that are now forming the groundswell of opposition to the Trump administration; movements long ignored by the corporate media, but central to Democracy Now!'s daily journalism. Amy will be introduced by her brother and co-author, Vermont-based journalist David Goodman.

Their latest New York Times bestseller is just out in paperback, and will be available for sale, with a book signing to follow the talk.

B-Rad, Bennington's new campus radio station, will simulcast Amy Goodman's talk. To listen, visit benningtonradio.com, or download the free B-Rad app from the Apple store (for Mac) or from GooglePlay (for Droid). The broadcast will also be recorded and archived on the website.

Update: the start time is now 12:30 pm
