CAMPUS COMMUNITY ONLY | Julie Mayo is a dance artist in New York whose work has been called “associative, sometimes absurd,” by The New Yorker. Her dances foreground "performing" as content and resist easy description of lived experience. She describes her work as simultaneously intelligible and inexplicable and hinging on the inseparability of the comic and the tragic. Currently, she teaches through Movement Research and on her own platform through Zoom.
