Aiding Software Developers' Information Seeking in Modern Communication Mediums

CAMPUS COMMUNITY ONLY | Science Workshop speaker Esteban Parra Rodriguez will be discussing the introduction to several approaches that aid developers in navigating modern communications mediums (i.e., videos and instant messaging platforms) when seeking for relevant information for their tasks. In particular, i) the use of information retrieval algorithms to produce meaningful tags for software development videos ii) the use of data science and machine learning to analyze and identify the purpose of messages posted by developers in instant messaging platforms.
