Deanna Evans is a curator and gallerist who runs Deanna Evans Projects in New York City. DEP is a contemporary art gallery that presents underrepresented artists, mainly based in New York, with a concentration on painting, fiber, sculpture, and the world between. In 2017, Deanna started to organize exhibitions in her own apartment and then in pop-up locations throughout NYC. Next, DEP opened their first commercial gallery space in Bushwick, Brooklyn in 2021 and is now located in the Tribeca neighborhood in Manhattan as of 2022. Deanna holds an MA in Art Business from Sotheby’s Institute of Art (NYC) and is a faculty member at School of Visual Art (NYC). She has also guest lectured at various institutions throughout New York.
