A Day of Improvisation (Resistance & Activism)

Inspired by Milford Graves: A Mind-Body Deal, A Day of Improvisation (Resistance & Activism) is a collective improvisation session that will be led by faculty members who want to make this a messy and playful day that fosters improvisation. There will be interdisciplinary space where anyone can bring and play with ideas and ingredients related to their practice.

Inflatable Piece/Sound Exploration with John Umphlett
3:30–3:50 pm in Greenwall 

Drawing in Response to Milford Graves exhibition with Anne Thompson
4:00–4:20 pm at Usdan Gallery
Note: The gallery will be open for regular viewing hours, 1-5 pm, with drawing materials on hand for visitor engagement.

Exploration of Acoustics and Light
4:30–4:50 pm at CAPA Center Waterfall (weather permitting) and CAPA Lens  

Celebration of ‘Intents & Purposes’ BMD Improv Jam led by Michael Wimberly 
5:00–5:30 pm at the Deane Carriage Barn Pit
