Carl Pantle is a passionate, engaging musician, bringing confidence and heart to the musical table. As a collaborative pianist and vocal coach, he has brought to life dozens of operatic and musical theater scores, and his collaborations include Tony Award winners Patti LuPone and Laura Benanti. As a pianist, arranger, and orchestrator in affiliation with the San Francisco Gay Men’s Chorus, he performed and recorded multiple commissioned works by Stephen Schwartz and Jake Heggie. Carl maintains a successful voice studio in Oakley, CA, and is enthusiastically involved in the arts and arts education in his community.
Carl's belief that the arts can be a vehicle for creating positive change in the world has galvanized a deep connection with his instrument and musical collaborations. An adrenaline junkie at heart, Carl loves the thrill of communicating with a receptive audience, which adds fuel to the fire of his musical endeavors.
As an alumnus of the Merola Program at San Francisco Opera, his credits as a repetiteur have spanned the Bay Area and beyond, most notably working with the San Francisco Opera Center, Opera San Jose, West Edge Opera, and West Bay Opera, where he also served as Chorus Master. After attending the prestigious San Francisco Conservatory of Music, he worked on staff as a vocal coach and accompanist, playing for dozens of productions, opera scenes programs, and recitals. In addition to his work as a coach and pianist, Carl also holds a degree in Vocal Performance with extensive experience as a vocal technician and has kept a private studio of voice students for a number of years.
