OPEN TO THE PUBLIC | Carbon moving between the solid-earth and ocean/atmosphere system is the primary factor that controls Earth's climate over very long timescales. To understand this transmission, we need to look beneath the oceans, at areas where seawater is interacting with rocks and magma that may be sources or sinks of carbon.
