Dance at Bennington Presents "a prelude to moving: a senior concert in dance by surabhee arjunwadkar"

VAPA Martha Hill Dance Theater

OPEN TO THE PUBLIC | Dance at Bennington presents "a prelude to moving," surabhee's senior work in dance. what is dance? what is to dance? what is the boundary between movement and stillness? my concern is the body, memories, childhood. to see india on stage, to see its colours, its sunset, its nonsense. my concern is home and memories. mothers and fathers braiding hair. this is a prelude to moving before moving to a place, away from a place, to a place. before moving the body, before dancing. what happens before dance?
