OPEN TO THE PUBLIC | Brenda Corman Alpar '62 will give a belly dance workshop featuring basic steps, veil work, cane dance, zill (finger cymbal) playing, and characteristic costumes, while sharing her experience as a professional dancer, musician, and teacher in the vibrant Middle Eastern music and dance scene of New York City in the 1970s.

OPEN TO THE PUBLIC | Drama at Bennington Presents: The House of Bernarda Alba - Student Production, November 1st and 2nd, 8:00 - 9:15 pm, VAPA Lester Martin Theater. Written by Federico García Lorca, The House of Bernarda Alba tells the story of Bernarda Alba and her five daughters who, after the death of Bernarda's second husband, start an eight year mourning locked inside her house. This student production is directed by Lorena Fernandez '25 and José Rubén Ruiz '26, who also adapted the text based on Caridad Svich's translation. To get tickets, email tickets@bennington.edu.
