Pop-ups, short term courses that bring unfolding events into the classroom, have been announced.

OPEN TO THE PUBLIC | Alumni artists will be in residence at Bennington College as part of a new program funded by a grant from an anonymous foundation.

Work produced during the residency of artists and alumni Ariel Herwitz ’06, Floryn Honnet ’13, Rainer Hunt ’13, and Georgia Lassner ’09 will be on view in the Usdan Gallery Tuesdays through Saturdays, from 1 pm to 5 pm, November 29 through December 8. The alumni have been in residence as part of a new program funded by a grant from an anonymous foundation. The grant, made in honor of faculty members Barry Bartlett and Jon Isherwood, supports recent graduates in sculpture and ceramics for a two- to four-week stay on campus.

OPEN TO THE PUBLIC | Buildings & Grounds will be leading a tour of the third floor of Commons this Tuesday Nov. 29th from 1pm-2pm. Come and see the dance stage where Martha Graham performed as well as the many empty classrooms which will soon be brought back online through the Commons renovation. OPEN TO THE PUBLIC | A celebration of the upcoming new issue of the newly relaunched Bennington Review.

Ariel Herwitz ’06, Floryn Honnet ’13, Rainer Hunt ’13, and Georgia Lassner ’09 will lead a gallery talk about their residence at Bennington College as part of a new program funded by a grant from an anonymous foundation. The work they will make at Bennington will be on view in the Usdan Gallery Tuesdays through Saturdays, from 1 pm to 5 pm, November 29 through December 8.

Public Meeting. The State of Vermont is planning a new bus service linking Bennington and Manchester to the Albany/Rensselaer Amtrak Station. State transportation officials will give a brief project background and will ask for the public’s input on key issues: Who are the potential riders? Where will the stops be? What is the best schedule? How will the service link with the Amtrak system? What is the best way to promote the service?
