Bennington College Film-Video faculty member Mariam Ghani and Choreographer Liz Lerman ’69 are recipients of the prestigious 2023 Guggenheim Fellowship. They are among more than 100 Bennington-associated Guggenheim Fellows to have been awarded throughout both organizations’ histories.

Over the summer, the pop-up course Understanding and Responding to COVID-19, Crisis and Quarantine gave Bennington students, staff, faculty, alumni, and community members a chance to connect with one another while examining the unfolding COVID-19 crisis across disciplines, from anthropology to mathematical modeling to poetry to film.

Emerging from long-running experimentation with color, performance artist Elena Demyanenko presents welter, an assemblage of simultaneous solos performed by Chloë Engel '17, Leah Morrison, and Demyanenko herself.

This fall, the Bennington community welcomed over 250 new students to the College.
