Nicholas Brooke, music faculty member at Bennington College, will bring his creative collaborators to MASS MoCA for a week-long residency culminating in a work-in-progress performance of his latest piece, Ten Transcendental Etudes, on March 1-2. The show will also run at HERE performing arts center in New York City April 4-7. 

While on sabbatical, Music faculty member Nick Brooke has been a Fellow at the Bogliasco Foundation in Liguria, Italy.

Bennington College connections abound in the Bennington Museum's exhibition Works on Paper: A Decade of Collecting, which highlights a disparate body of works, from historic to contemporary and self-taught works, to creations by Bennington Modernists. The exhibition is on view through May 5.

The famed electric chamber ensemble Bang on a Can All-Stars premiered a commission composed by faculty member Nick Brooke this month at the Merkin Concert Hall as part of the inaugural Ecstatic Music Festival—a three-month, 14-concert event showcasing collaborations between songwriters, composers, and performers from classical and popular music traditions.

Genevieve Belleveau ’07, Michael Chinworth ’08, and Jo-Anne Hyun ’12 will be performing in faculty member Nick Brooke’s show, Psychic Driving, at the HERE Arts Center on March 10 and 11.
