Valerie Marcus Ramshur is a Lucille Lortel nominee and critically acclaimed costume designer, whose work has been seen across the country and around the world. Her credits span theatre, dance, film, and television.
Theater/Live Performance: Madonna’s Rebel Heart World Tour, Broadway: Ruined, Hedwig and the Angry Inch. A Behanding in Spokane, The MotherF**ker with the Hat, Lombardi Caroline Or Change, Russell Simmons’ Def Poetry Jam, Bobbi Boland and Nice Work If You Can Get It. Other work for The Women’s Project, LAByrinth Theater, The Culture Project, and Guthrie Theater to name a few.
Television: All My Children, One Life to Live and The View, A Gifted Man, Hostages, as well as national commercial and industrial projects.
A professor and guest lecturer at New York University, Bennington College, Berkeley College, and Manhattan Marymount College. She is currently the Head of Costume Design at Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University.
