Gregory Nanopoulos ’07
Gregory Nanopoulos ’07 has earned a living as a working professional actor since age 15. Before turning twenty, he directed two Equity productions and a new work at Lincoln Center. Director Marshall W. Mason welcomed him into the Society of Stage Directors and Choreographers as their youngest member. He’s been blessed to meet and work with some actors he’s always admired. For example, his first mentor was Robert Reed. Reed made Nanopoulos make him a promise—that he would do what has never been done before in regard to acting and directing. When Rosette C. Lamont, frequent theatre critic for the NY Times wrote: “Nanopoulos reminds me of a young lonesco,” he feels he lived up to the promise. His favorite playwright is Fernando Arrabel and his favorite kind of theater is that which provokes and disturbs ‘Le Theatre Panique.” SAG-AFTRA, Equity, SSD&C. MFA (Drama) Sarah Lawrence. MAT (Drama) Bennington.
