Carla Klein '89
Carla Klein Moriarty has worked as a Theatre Arts educator at the Dwight-Englewood school in Englewood, NJ since 2006. She teaches theatre arts and presentation skills to junior high students and curates and designs costumes for all their productions. Prior to D-E she worked at the Collegiate School in Manhattan and did some freelance design work at Poly Prep in Brooklyn and the Dalton School. Carla earned her MA in Performance Studies from The Central School of Speech and Drama, London in 1997 and her BA in Theatre and Design from Bennington College class of 1989. She has been a teaching artist at the Williamstown Theatre Festival and The American Academy of Dramatic Arts. In 2012 she founded the Bergen County Women’s Alliance, a collection of local artists, writers, and performers devoted to bringing awareness to issues that affect women through activist theatre.
